This PRIVATE / EXCLUSIVE adventure begins 700m. outside Monolithos village at about 9am. Hike up the slope of Akramytis Mt. that rises to 823 meters and is part of a Natura 2000 area. The walking paths cross through rich pinewoods and dense vegetation offering stunning sea views to Halki and the nearby islands. After about an hour of hiking, have a break at the recently restored chapel of St. John and take some time to relax. Continue hiking until the top of Akramytis Mt., with great views to the Dam of Apolakkia, the Valley of Kymisala and the nearby Islands of Alimia and Chalki, the perfect setup to enjoy a traditional super food snack, made localy, for extra energy and shoot some amazing photos. After of 3-4 hrs. (approx.) of hiking, visit the village of Monolithos, a small mountain village untouched by tourism where you can enjoy Greek home made dishes at the village tavern.
